Going on holiday with your CPAP? We’ve got you covered with our travel must-haves to make your CPAP therapy more comfortable.
Before we get started, you need to know about transporting and using your machine when you’re away. We’ve created a checklist to help you keep up with your treatment for sleep apnea while on the move. And you can rest assured that your CPAP machine is all set for your vacation, just like you are.
Now that you’ve got your checklist, here’s our list of recommended items to give you sky-high comfort while travelling – whether by plane, train, or car.
Take extra care to keep your mask and CPAP accessories clean when you’re travelling. Keep in mind warm climates are the best environments for bacteria to grow in.
Depending on your travel schedule and access to water, you can keep your mask clean by wiping it with a wet cloth or wet wipes.
We recommend you stock up on a pack of travel-sized cleaning wipes before you leave. This allows you to maintain mask and machine hygiene while giving yourself more time to spend enjoying your holiday.
Our 14-pack of CPAP wipes are a ready-to-use, fast and easy cleaning solution for your mask. These 100% cotton wipes contain an unscented cleaning agent and aloe vera and are free from alcohol and latex.
For extended trips, it could be useful to bring a spare CPAP mask headgear. If you get your headgear a bit sweaty simply swap out your dirty headgear for your clean spare.
You may prefer to wash your CPAP equipment daily while travelling. It this is not the case , it could be worth investing in back-up tubing to allow more time between drying after a wash.
The last thing you want to do while on holiday is breathe unhealthy air. Protect yourself with a few extra CPAP filters, in case you need them.
Our CPAP filters are designed to filter the air and give you the peace of mind that you need to help you have a good night’s rest.
Let’s not forget that travelling can be tiresome! This is why we’ve created ResMed CPAP equipment that can accompany you, wherever you go.
If you’re a frequent traveller, you might want to invest in an AirMiniTM portable CPAP device, designed with travel and convenience in mind.
One key benefit of this device is that it offers waterless humidification to give you the comfort of humidity without the hassle of carrying distilled water everywhere.
For stress-free sleep apnea therapy when on the go, keep your CPAP equipment safe and easily accessible in our specially designed bag.
Our practical CPAP travel bags are designed to fit your machine, humidifier, tubes, mask of choice, power supply, and cleaning accessories.
(for AirMini, AirSenseTM 10, AirCurveTM 10 or LumisTM machines)
A DC-DC converter can be an economical way to expand your power supply options when you’re on the move. Use a DC-DC converter to connect your therapy device to a car, boat, or other vehicle equipped with a 12V or 24V DC power source or a suitable battery.
We know that planning and packing for a holiday can be a pain. The best advice we can give is to pack as many extra supplies as possible. You never know what might go wrong while you’re out and about! Visit our Travel FAQs for further information on how to travel as a CPAP user.
