Freedom to be themselves

ResMed AirFit N30i with a top-of-the-head tube design gives your patients the freedom to sleep in many positions and be close to their bed partner.

Redesigned nasal cradle cushion with QuietAir

The ResMed AirFit N30i has been redesigned to include QuietAir vent technology and a softer silicone cushion. The soft silicone replaces a plastic chassis, designed to allow the cushion to flex and adapt as users switch sleeping positions. The new cushion also delivers a reliable seal1, improved comfort1 and a less disruptive experience that is 57% quieter than the original vent design.2,3,4

Designed for a first-time fit

The SpringFit frame is designed to adjust to different facial profiles to provide a broad range of fit. This means you spend less time on patient setup with more fitting confidence.

Streamlined mask options

The AirFit N30i has a streamlined setup designed to minimise fitting time and stock management.

FAQs

Is the therapy delivered by the AirFit N30i the same as a mask with the tube at the front?

AirFit N30i delivers therapy from a wide variety of sleeping positions. Even when the patient lies on their side, when air flow could potentially be reduced through one side of the frame, the prescribed therapy will continue to be delivered with compensated air flow through the other side of the frame.

Is the AirFit N30i available in both the nasal mask and the full face mask?

AirFit N30i is only available with the nasal cradle cushion.

What are the cushion sizes? How do I know which size to choose for my patient?

AirFit N30i is available in four cushion sizes: small, medium, small wide and wide. To find the right cushion size for your patient, place the sizing gauge under the nose. Long, pointy nose will use the blue and red side of the gauge while short, wide noses will use the purple and grey side. Use both the width and length of the nose on the gauge. If either part of the nose breaches to the second colour, size up to the larger cushion (medium or wide).

How can you tell the difference between cushion sizes?

Red S = Small

Blue M = Medium

Purple SW = Small wide

Grey W = Wide

How do I know which starter pack to choose for my patient?

For streamlined fitting and easier stock management, AirFit N30i fits most facial profiles with just two frame size starter packs: small and standard. Start with the small (red) pack for female patients and the standard (blue) pack for male patients. The cushion sizes are the same in both packs. If the frame sits too close to your patient's eyes, move up a frame size. If the frame sits too close to your patient's ears, move down a size.

How many stocking variations are available for AirFit N30i?

We understand that managing both the complexity of your inventory and storage space in your warehouse are important. That's why AirFit N30i is conveniently and efficiently packed in just two starter pack sizes, each containing a frame and three cushion sizes. For resupplying patients throughout their CPAP journey, frames, headgear and spare cushions are available to order.

Can I fit all my patients with AirFit N30i?

There are no contraindications that would prevent you from fulfilling prescriptions with the AirFit N30i, although patients may be more suited to different mask styles based on their natural breathing preference. It has been designed with ease, simplicity and breadth of use in mind. To simplify fitting, each AirFit N30i starter pack comes with a small, medium and small wide cushion to fit the large majority of your patients. Wide cushions are also available to order separately if needed.

Choosing the right frame size

  1. Use the provided template as a guide to which frame size is most suitable.
  2. If you try the standard size on your patients first, and the elbow sits behind the centre of their head, it’s too large.
  3. If the frame is too large, try the small size frame for a better fit.
  4. If you try the small size on your patients first, and the elbow sits in front of the center of their head, it’s too small.
  5. If the frame is too small, try the standard size frame for a more comfortable fit.

Choosing the right cushion size

  1. Use the provided template and your judgment to determine whether a patient has a narrow or wide nose.
  2. If the patient has a narrow nose, place the blue/red side of the template under their noise. If the patient has a wide noise, place the black/purple side of the template under their nose.
  3. Assess whether their nose falls inside or exceeds the width or length margins on the template to determine their cushion size.
  4. Select the matching cushion from those provided.

Fitting

  1. Bring the mask above your head and then down over your face while ensuring the elbow is centred on the top of your head.
  2. Place the headgear behind your head and the cushion under your nose.
  3. Adjust the headgear until the mask and cushion are comfortable.
  4. Disconnect the elbow from the top of the frame and attach it to the air tubing.
  5. Reconnect the elbow with the air tubing to the top of the frame.

Managing leak

  1. Locate where the air is escaping from, which is typically above or below the cushion.
  2. Adjust the cushion by gently pulling it away from your face and letting it reseal itself.
  3. Adjust the headgear as needed to achieve a more secure seal.
  4. Check the frame is secure and that the mask elbow and tubing are not pulling on the mask.

Daily cleaning

  1. Take the cushion off the frame as per disassembly instructions.
  2. Soak the cushion in warm water and a mild liquid detergent.
  3. Clean the cushion and its vent holes inside and out with a soft bristle brush.
  4. Rinse the cushion thoroughly under running tap water.
  5. Leave the cushion to air dry away from direct sunlight.

Weekly cleaning

  2. Soak each of the components (headgear, elbow and frame) in warm water and a mild liquid detergent.
  3. Clean the elbow and frame with a soft bristle brush and the headgear with your hands.
  4. Rinse each of the components thoroughly under running tap water.
  5. Squeeze the headgear and the sleeves on the frame with a clean towel to remove excess water.
  6. Leave each of the components to air dry away from direct sunlight.

Assembly

  1. Ensure you have all the mask components and parts together.
  2. Connect the elbow to the frame.
  3. Thread the left end of the headgear into the left side of the frame and fasten the tab.
  4. Thread the right end of the headgear into the right side of the frame and fasten the tab.
  5. Align the arrow on the cushion to the arrow on the frame and connect together.
  6. Connect the remaining end of the cushion and frame together with the ResMed logo facing the right way up through the headgear.

Disassembly

  1. Ensure your mask is disconnected from your machine.
  2. Pull the cushion out from one end of the frame.
  3. Pull the cushion out from the other end of the frame.
  4. Unfasten the headgear tab from one side and pull it out of the frame.
  5. Unfasten the headgear tab from the other side and pull it out of the frame.
  6. Squeeze the side buttons on the elbow and pull up to release it from the frame.

Vent Connection

  1. To disconnect the vent, gently pull the nasal cradle cushion away and slide the vent out.
  2. To reconnect the vent, align the notch on the nasal cradle cushion with the groove on the vent. Then gently pull the nasal cradle cushion over the vent.
