Find your mask size

There are 3 cushion sizes available, Small Wide, Medium and Large. Use fitting template to see which cushion size fits best.
The cushion size can be found on the side of the cushion. In front of the mirror, place the fitting template under your nose, position your nose above the blue medium cushion box, check if your nose width and length fit the box. Repeat the process with the purple small wide and gray large cushion boxes. The small wide and large size cushions suit wider noses and the medium size suits narrower noses.
Choose the size where your nose fits into the box. The cushion should have a secure and comfortable fit.
There are 2 frame sizes available, Small and Standard.
If the mask frame falls back over your head or sits too close to your ears, try the small size frame. If the mask falls forward over your head or sits too close to your eyes, try the standard size frame. Refer to the User Guide for more information.

Fit your mask

Squeeze the side buttons on the elbow and pull from the mask.
Raise the mask above your head and pull it down over your face.
Place the cushion under your nose and headgear behind your head. Make sure the cushion sits comfortably under your nose so your nostrils cover both holes in the cushion.
Connect the air tubing from your device to the elbow. Connect the elbow back to the mask. You should hear a click when it's securely attached.
On your ResMed device, choose 'My Options', scroll down to mask setting and ensure pillows is selected.
If you have long hair, make sure your hair is on the outside of the headgear for the best fit.

Disassemble your mask

Pull the cushion out from both ends of the frame.
To remove the QuietAir vent, gently peel the cushion away and slide the vent out.
Undo the fastening tabs on the headgear and pull the headgear away from the frame.
After detaching the headgear, close the fastening tabs to prevent them from damaging the fabric sleeves when handling.
Squeeze the side buttons on the elbow and detach from the frame. Now you've disassembled your mask, you're ready to start cleaning it.

Daily cleaning

The two components that should be cleaned daily are your cushion and the QuietAir vent.
Soak the components in warm water with a mild liquid detergent.
Hand wash the QuietAir vent with a soft bristle brush. Pay particular attention to the vent holes.
For the AirTouch N30i cushion, hand wash only (without bristle brush).
Thoroughly rinse the components under running water.
Squeeze the fabric cushion with a clean towel to remove excess water.
Shake the QuietAir vent to remove any excess water. Leave them to air dry out of direct sunlight.

Weekly cleaning

The three components that should be cleaned weekly are your frame, headgear and elbow.
Soak the components in warm water with a mild liquid detergent.
Handwash the components with a soft bristle brush.
Thoroughly rinse the components under running water.
Squeeze the headgear out and fabric frame with a clean towel to remove excess water. Leave them to air dry out of direct sunlight.

Reassemble your mask

If the elbow ring was detached at any point, simply reinsert it into the top of the frame.
Connect the elbow into the top of the frame. You should hear a click when its securely attached.
With the ResMed logo on the headgear facing up, insert both straps of the headgear into the frame from the inside and fold the fastening tabs to over to secure.
Insert the vent into the cushion by aligning the tab on the cushion with a notch on the vent.
Gently pull the cushion over the vent. Connect the ends of the frame with a cushion ensuring the arrows on the cushion and frame are aligned.

Mask seal and comfort

It is important to have a proper seal between your mask and your face.
If experiencing leaks or discomfort, on your ResMed device, choose 'My Options', scroll down to mask setting and ensure pillows is selected.
With the device turned on and blowing air, locate where the air is escaping from.
To fix leaks or discomfort around the nose, pull the cushion slightly away from your face. Reposition the cushion so that it sits comfortable under your nose.
Undo the fastening tabs at the headgear and release or pull evenly if required. Ensure that you don't over-tighten the straps. The cushion should not push your nose up excessively.
