Sizing Cushion

  1. Familiarise yourself with the cushion-sizing template provided and the cushion sizes available.
  2. Hold the sizing template under the patient's nose, and use it to determine the most suitable cushion size. Ideally, the outer edge of the patient's nose should sit on the grey band in the centre of the coloured margins.
  3. Select the matching cushion and try it on your patient for comfort and fit.

Sizing Frame

  1. Use the frame-sizing template provided as a guide to help you choose the correct frame.
  2. If the mask frame falls back over the patient's head or sits too close to their ears, it is too large. Try a smaller frame.

Managing leak

  2. If your patient feels air is escaping from the top half of the cushion, try adjusting the upper headgear straps until there is a secure seal.
  3. Ensure the frame is centred on the patient's head and the air tubing is not pulling on their mask.
